We invite you to join us for our 6th Annual Care Packs & Cocktails event! Tickets are now available for this celebratory fundraising event on July 22 from 7-11 PM.
This special evening to remember includes food, drinks, dancing, friends, a silent auction and raffle, and a powerful survivor fashion show. The event is held at The Criterion in Oklahoma City, and this much anticipated event celebrates the incredible strength and tenacity of cancer fighters while raising funds for Tenaciously Teal’s outreach to cancer fighters.

Meet Event Committee Members & Past Event Models, Lynsey and Rachel!
One thing that makes us extremely proud of what we do at Tenaciously Teal is all of the full-circle moments that are created with the brave women and men we help. We do what we can today to help cancer fighters with care packs, brave shaves, empowerment shoots, and financial assistance – and they often become our valued donors and volunteers of tomorrow.
Two of this year’s event committee members participated in our 2019 & 2021 survivor fashion show at Care Packs & Cocktails. Thanks so much for your commitment to our mission, Lynsey and Rachel (and so many others)!
Lynsey Davis
Lynsey’s favorite part of the Care Packs & Cocktails fashion show was standing alongside women who fought similar battles. She reflects on the sense of community in coming together, learning each other’s stories, and celebrating their fight together in a special evening of camaraderie, community, and celebration.
She said, “I’ll never forget walking out on stage to loud cheers from the audience and feeling so proud of how far I had come since going through cancer treatment. For my family and friends, along with total strangers, to cheer me on felt amazing. When battling cancer, you don’t feel like yourself when you lose your hair, gain weight, and in some cases – have surgical changes to your body. This can really affect your self-esteem, so T. Teal gives cancer fighters an opportunity to get pampered and dolled up to feel like themselves again.”
What Lynsey loves most about this annual event is its celebration of survivorship. This evening is a great opportunity to allow women to feel special, let some joy return, and be celebrated for all they have been through in their journeys.
She is grateful for her involvement with our mission and plans to continue supporting T. Teal for years to come. And, she hopes to see you in July at The Criterion.
Rachel Punneo
Rachel’s favorite part of participating in the fashion show during Care Packs & Cocktails was being with all the other women. She reflects that even though most of the women in the show met for the first time that evening, they quickly formed bonds because they had previously all heard the same three words: “You have cancer.”
Rachel said, “As a girl whose love language is words of encouragement, to have hundreds of people screaming for you is ridiculous in the best way possible. I was just a few months on the other side of my cancer journey and walking that runway was my victory walk. We were celebrating the end of my journey and trying to share that hope with others by paying it forward. I wanted that light and conquering spirit to be seen by others fighting so they can dream big dreams for their own celebration over cancer.”
Coming together for this special event to celebrate, encourage, and fight together is support in its finest capacity. Rachel looks forward to meeting you at our 2022 event.

When we asked Lynsey and Rachel to share what they would like potential donors or volunteers to know about Tenaciously Teal, this is what they said:
“Tenaciously Teal’s mission is so much more than a care pack. The organization provides encouragement and support to cancer fighters who may be feeling alone, scared, and hopeless. There is a real sense of “we are with you”, which so many of us need. Receiving a special care pack during my treatment brightened my day, but also gave me the strength to continue fighting. That is what a new donor/volunteer will be helping to support.”

“I’ve never felt better about my contributions to an organization than I have with Tenaciously Teal. The heart Tarah has for what she does and the impact she’s making is so very evident. As a cancer fighter, I know the impact an empowerment shoot or brave shave has on a mindset. It’s something only a cancer fighter understands. Tarah helps fighters not only financially, but mentally and emotionally in a way that no support group or other organization I know can. She knows the fight from the inside and fosters hope and encourages you down to your soul because of that insight.”

Janet KJ103 and Ali Meyer are coming to bring down the house! They’ll be emceeing the night, bringing the hype, and announcing all of Care Packs and Cocktail’s most delightful events for the evening.
Tee for the Soul and Dillards Penn Square Mall will be sponsoring and styling our model’s fashion show outfits for the evening.
The last thing on our checklist for this event is WE NEED SILENT AUCTION DONATIONS! Big or small- every donation will raise funds for cancer fighters everywhere. Want to give a $10 gift card to Sonic? Do it. Have a $15 voucher for your business? Bring it! All small donations can be bundled together to make a large prize and a HUGE impact on our fundraiser!
